Still need to by my graphics card for my system and not looking at turning this thead into which is best.

Im just wondering what would be best for my price range and performance.

Looking at spending between £130-£180. Im just wondering if spending the extra £50 would be monies well spent by buying the 560 ti over the evga460.

Looking at benchmarks the 460 offers better value for money penny per fps or whatever the phrase is

I had to make the same decision and am going 460 come my birthday

I'd get the 560 because it's revised tech meaning it will ran faster and cooler while using less power.

Well think im going to go with the 460 due to price and my budget.

I was going buy either these to cards

Am I going to notice any difference with 43Mhz faster of the superclocked version ?

because thats the only difference i can see

Ive found a PNY XLR8 GeForce GTX 460 OC for alittle less. £141 including delievery which i dont thinks bad

If you don't want to stretch your budget, the 460 is still a great card. It's by no means necessary to get the 560, unless you think that you really need it. I would suggest that you get the EVGA one over the PNY one, though. I haven't heard good things about PNY cards.

Th 1GB will give a bit more performance, like if yer playing newer games with the 768, youl have to turn off AA...but it depends on the price difference. If the 768 is way cheaper than the 1GB, go with it. Itll serve you well.. :)

Just been reading up on the EVGA card. And there is a bios update for a free performance boost.

Im Just wondering what difference this makes on the superclocked EE version of the card other than increasing the fan speed?

I think ive founde my answer anyways.

one more little question.. overclocking this card with evga precision?

where it says core clock.. is this actually the shader clock?

as in you set this to 1700 to give you a clock of 850mhz?

I've never used Precision, so I wouldn't know exactly, but I'm pretty sure that at that clock speed it would have to be the shader. You might want to try using MSI Afterburner:

It might give you better luck. ;)
