4800+ or opteron

Hello, I have a socket 939 msi board and it has a 4800+ amd toledo processor in it. Im trying to figure out if an opteron 185 2.6 ghz will work and is faster. Is this the fastest processor that will fit in it? I went to the msi page but it only goes to 4800+ then switches to fx processors and opterons but doesnt list speed. I really dont want to upgrade the whole computer right now, just looking to get the most out of these 939 boards. Any help here is greatly welcome and appreciated.

Since you have a socket 939, unless you can get a processor dirt cheap I would just save up your money and do a complete upgrade.

I agree. I think your processor is near top of the line for a Socket 939 motherboard. Any upgrade for this motherboard would be a waste of money. Save your money for newer computer technology.
