Would a 460W psu handle a HD4850? i currently have a 460W Gigabyte SuperB and ive not had any problems running my rig with it.

will be a large improvement.

about 20 frames, maybe more.

And you can run everything on full

As for the PSU, Gigabyte is not a bad make, but I would co for something better.

Corsair HX520 maybe

compare benchmark results on futuremark's website. You can select what processor and video cards you want to view results of.

My old 8800GT did better than many 4850's, so I decided not to upgrade back then. Now I have a pair of 3870's which still does better than single 4850's. single 4870's, and most single GTX260's

dude, seriously?

are you actually being serious?

4870 & 4850 reviews

Thats a list of reviews

Here is one to show you...

I find Anandtech to be quite objective with their reviews, making them accurate (in my opinion)

The 4850 gets 12-15 more frames in CoD4 and that increases as res inreases... (and thats the 512Mb version)

the 4850 is a very good card, but rather wait it out. The performance gain will be quite a bit, but wait for new cards to arrive, as you have no REAL need of a new GPU right now...

Also, when the new cards arrive, teh price of the 48XX series will drop...
