4850 -- Power Supply 450W

Hi all,
I just installed the Sapphire 4850 on my custom rig. I am running it on a 450W power supply. When I first turned on my computer after putting the card in, it took slightly longer than usual to boot up. When I get to the desktop, it said that the computer had recovered from an unexpected shut down.
I was wondering if that has to do with the power supply not being high enough to handle?

I am running:
Phenom II 955
one hard disk, one drive and that's about it.

I'm just curious if I could get by with the 450W for a bit since I've already spent a little over 600 to build this rig. If not, I'll just get a 650W.

oh and when I turn it on, it doesn't show the boot up screen where I can access the bios. It just goes straight to windows. :-/ don't think that's a good thing huh?

Not sure but it comes with the case I bought: Cooler Master Elite 310.

Blue Cooler Master

It's just a generic one I guess.

It's Chiefmax.

That case doesnt come with a chiefmax power supply, its a coolermaster case and if it had a power supply it would have been a coolermaster unit(considering they sell both psu's as well as chassis), so im guessing you didnt buy the case new.

As ganzey said earlier, in my sig there is a link for a list of some pretty hot deals on recertified OCZ and pc power and cooling power supplies, anything >500W would be plenty for your rig. (Although, arguably the best deals are the two pc power and cooling units).
