My brother runs like a mini lan full time in one of his spare rooms...

He's getting a 4850 and wanted to know what PSU was required as he usually buys the cheapest parts he can and just replacings the PC all the time lol.

So he picked out this piece of junk lol.

Will that work... It has the right amound of watts, and it says it has one pcie cable would you be safe to assume it has the right amount of amps on that?

Cheers

I think the minimum wattage is ~450W, so you'd be pretty close to the mark. If the PSU even provides 480W... :P (I've never really heard of "Aywun", here's their website by the way... http://aywun.com/ )

That will run the card fine with a 6 pin adapter. those recommended wattages are for the whole system, the card itself will really only draw under 200 watts.

Wouldnt trust it, if i had that in my system, the best card i would put in that would be around a 9600gt(newer one) or a 4770...

Off brand chinese power supplies=idiot move, ask him if he wants to end up replacing his motherboard, possibly hard drives as well as GPU, because thats what he will end up having to do when that thing blows on him.

Lol ok Ill let him know...

He doesnt want expensive stuff however, so what would be the cheapest PSU that would run that card?

He rather replace later like 6 months down the tract than spend lots now.
