...and then disaster struck.

Or at least that's how it felt. The past few weeks have been incredibly tumultuous, sleepless, and beyond interesting. It is as if AMD and NVIDIA just started pulling out hardware and throwing it at eachother while we stood in the middle getting pegged with graphics cards. And we weren't just hit with new architectures and unexpected die shrinks, but new drivers left and right.

Looks like nVidia is still on top. We'll see if the prices of the HD4000's justify their performance.
 
Those are awesome, outside of crysis which is optimized for nvidia.

Also, notice those resolutions, i would like to see a comparison using a computer monitor and not plasma TV resolutions. I think they done that on purpose because the GTX is a 1GB card compared to a 512mb card.

On another note, the GTX 280 costs $660 compared to the 4870 @ $309 :eek: :drool:

I know man, COD4 2560X1600 55FPS??? Insane! :eek: That's what I'm getting at 1440 X 900, Ok a bit more but still!

Me wantz HD4870... Period.
 
I wish i had the money now, because it will be price/demand before long. I'll expect them to shoot up to near $400 :(
