4870x2 idleing at 90C!!!!

I have the fan at %30 and im not doing anything is this average??? I have the latest drivers. No gaming just surfing the web!

You have an Antec 1200, shouldn't be that loud. Try something a little lower then. I find that mine are Ok at 80%, but as soon as I go to 81%, they're too loud.

The 4870x2 at full sounds like a vacuum cleaner. They are super loud cards.

For on the desktop I set mine to 34% and they idle at 45c. When gaming I put it up to 60%

You may have waste called the Powerplay issue. The new 9.3 drivers might help with this or if that doesn't work you will have to flash your cards bios. is there anyway you can remove the heatsink from the card and apply some thermal paste to the gpu's ?

I have a 4870 (not x2) that idles at 25%/53c and I game at 35-40%
anything above 40% and the whistling of the fan becomes annoying.
