I was looking for benchmarks for 4 4890's but I can't find it. Is it not possible?

I'm thinking that 4x4890 would outperform 3xGTX285.
You'd never need more than crossfired 4890's though. Like ever. Hell, one 4890 is a solid card. If you want some awesome crossfiring, I'd get 4x4770s. Use 40nm tech, are a bit under have the price of a 4890, and crossfire 4770s outperform a single 4890. 2x4770 also uses less power on load than the 4890.

I'm not looking into getting new cards I was just curious as to how insane quadfire with 4890's would be.

Definately, if you get the highly overclocked versions(1000mhz or so core) they can come close to a GTX285 in performance.

It would be a waste of money man, most games do not scale well with any multi GPU configuration. If you wait they may release a 4890x2 or if you can find a good price for a pair of 4890's do it but don't go quad.

There's a guy on another forum running 3 4890s with an i7 Extreme 965 and he's bought another, but hasn't posted back yet. His 3dmark with three is over 31K.

you could go quadfire with an x58 classified and have x16 over 4 slots
It would be so insane seriusly,one 4890 alone is a powerhouse trust me.
id hate to immagine the power bill though to run 4x 4890s
Imagine the cost of the PSU

On a 759 yes, on the 760 you cant because it doesnt include the NF200=/

Yeah, i think they are coming out with a replacement to it though, im guessing maybe on the 10th anniversary(The 16th), but dont hold me to that

Option 4 is the only option anyone on this forum could choose and be honest. No one here would use a system with 4 4890's to its potential. It's folly.
Computers are like guns or sports cars for nerds. The bigger and faster it is the better it disguises shortcomings in other areas.
