Should I crossfire two 4890's, because I have one of them now, and another could come soon, but should I wait and get two 5xxx in a year or year an a half so I can have dx11?

I would go ahead and get another 4890 there really cheap right now and you can always sale the 4890 and upgrade to the 5xxx series if you felt the need to. Since 2 4890s pretty much equals a GTX 295 I don't see why you would need anything more for at least another 2 years or more.

hmm i think it will be some time until the 5xxx...we have yet to see a 4890x2

Should outperform a standard GTX295, because the 295 basically has two GTX275's on one board.

If I stay with the single 4890, how much would a 5 series card run that had equal or greater performance? I know they haven't said much about them, but can someone guess?

Id say at least $250 if not $300 or so. But the prices will drop after a few weeks after release.
