4Gb of Ram....worth it?

Wondering if I should go with 4 sticks of !gb Ram. Right now looking at 2GB DDR667 RAM – Kingston 2x1GB, but is 4GB worth it? I plan on doing 3D and 4D work alongside Photoshopping and gaming.

Depends on exactly what applications you'll use. 2D work may count as MS Paint

Spare ram is always useful and is easily movable (from computer to computer) and upgradeable.

4GB is not necessarily a waste at all. Vista would churn up 4GB quite easily. Especially when gaming. I won't go into statistics and all, but have a read here:

I don't think it'd be a waste becasue you won't need to upgrade for a good while but then again, it is a lot even for computers that are hardcore gaming comps...

Vista Ultimate is chewing up a good 700+MB out of my 2GB.

2GB should be a bare minimum on a performance machine IMO, if you want to run that OS.
