4gb or 8gb

i am having such a hard time figuring out what i should get
the Crucial Ballistix Tracer 2gb (2x1gb), or the 4gb (2x2gb)
and i am ordering 2 sets of one of them.
but what do u guys think i should get?

Do you actually have a use for >4GB of RAM? (ie 64bit OS, and probably doing some kind of media editing or possibly 3D modelling with 64bit software was well) If not, there's little use in having 8GB unless you are going to try and run a bunch of games at the same time or something silly like that.

Yeah 8gbs. it pretty much overkill.

4GB is alot. I'd say go with 2GB, if your running xp, it only reads about 3 1/2 gigs of ram. lol.

yeah, 8gb is way overkill. i'd say go for the 4gb, even though that wouldnt be totally utilised either.

no bigger is better! *thats wat she said* lol i have 8 but i never really use all of it b/c even w/ 64 bit adobe photo shop uses max 2gb and virtual machines would be the only way u can actually fill up all of it
