hola ustedes..
Got my parts today and on my new build I can get 3.2ghz at 1.4xx volts (i think 1.452 or some odd number, BIOS is givin me odd voltages for my cpu) and my mushkin ram is at 400mhz (ddr800) 4/5/4/11 2T @ 2.1v. Is there any way i can squeek out a bit more?
i'm just using the thermal paste that came with the AC64 Pro, but only have cpu temps of about 27c at boot, and 38c with non-gaming.
would a 16.5x200mhz work? i had to up the voltage a bit to stable the 3.2ghz, but if i add a little voltage to the HT could i be stable at 3.3ghz?

3.2 was all i could sqeeze outta mine.with just multiplier ..you could try upping the fsb a bit.but it really depends on your cpu, they all are a little differant... GOOD LUCK...Zer0

3.2ghz for that cpu is pretty good!! Do you see any performance gain over the stock settings? I think i might take a stab at OC'ing my proc.

Oh darn! Well then I guess there is really no need for me to OC mine then. I guess i'll just have to save up for a quad core. LOL

3.2 for a X2 5000 is pretty much the limit unless you really start cranking up the voltage, then you have the heat build up to deal with. It all depends on how good of a X2 5000 you got. One that just made it as a X2 5000 or one that quite didnt make a X2 5400.

Whats your HT link mhz at?

Keep it at or as close to 1000MHZ as you can get. Drop the HT link multi if you need to.

But 3.2 is probably about the max your going to get on that 5000+...
