what kind of improvements does a killer NIC do to your ping? I am already pretty low ping in the main game I play, usually under 65 and some times see the high 40s

Omega's build could use a better cooler IMO. For that budget, why not go watercooling? If you're a beginner, just use the Corsair Nautilus system.

Omega, I don't pretend to know 1/100th of what you know. I am still learning but, if I may........

Why not go full tower? Wouldn't it be easier to cool?

Why the need for two 10k drives of 150GBs each.....why not have a second drive be a 600-800 GB 7200 IDE?

With that MOBO, how much different would the Soundblaster card make?

techno jargin, the processors on the nic crunch packets instead of the cpu

real world benchmark - they make no difference

bottom line - waste of money

Pretty nice setup. core 2 extreme quad, dual 8800gtx's, SoundBlaster Fatal1ty, a cd/ dvd burner with lightscribe, a blu-ray HD-DVD burner, dual 250gb hard drives, liquid cooling, window vista ultimate 64bit and 4gb of DDR2 800. total-4589$
PS-dont worry, the PSU can handle it.

Just to let you know, he has already ordered omega's build, and a comment on the 64 bit version of windows:
Pretty much all I have to say is there's not a lot of supported drivers for 64 bit versions of windows, wouldn't work with quite a bit of things.
