I have 500GB WD hard drive (WD500AACS)
what i want to ask is will it work with power supply has 300 watt or not
because it won't work and i didn't want to buy power supply with 650 watt
LIKE IT RECOGNIZE IT BUT IN THE BIOS IT SAID "NOT DETECTED"

and there is another problem i have Seagate hard drive with 320GB (barracuda 7200.10)
once i plug it into my PC the PC will not power up but when i unplug the hard disk the computer will power normally

THANKS IN ADVANCE

did you just add this HDD? i'm thinking jumper settings on the hard drive aren't right... what kind of computer is it in, specs? are there any other hard drives in it? is it IDE/SATA/etc?

How much other hardware are you running on that 300W? The CPU and video card will likely be the biggest draws. It does sound like the PSU isn't able to provide enough power, but that doesn't mean you need to buy a 650W, a 400-450 may do.
