5400k vs 7200k ?

My backup HDD has been full for awhile now and time to be upgraded. I've always used WD over others.. that being said..

The WD Blue (5400) 2TB is 50-60$ and the WD Black (7200) 2TB is 120$

For a drive that will ONLY be used as backup to my primary drive, does it matter being 5400RPM??

Don't bother with the Black, Blue will be fine. Backup restore time might be slightly slower but if it's just for backup purposes you'll be fine.

That's what I'm leaning towards but I always want to buy the 'best' lol
Well, the best would be a NVME SSD, but unless you have $600+ USD laying around somewhere and a compatible PC then that's not an option. Don't spend twice the amount of money on something you may not use. :p
