nice mobo, with possible CF in the future and 4290 onboard to holdover to a gaming card. also has a HS on the MOSFETs to aid the OC ability.

sorry man. i meant i have 1 set, and plan to get another to match it.

though that board is cheaper, the MOSFET HS isnt included. that can be a fire hazard when ocing.

as for the psu, im planning CF in the future, and i dont think 500w will CF very well.

Diablotek power supplies are junk. If your looking at 650W your going to have to spend more for a quality unit.

is it going to be worth it to get a cooler like the V8, or to get a real fast OC (4GHz +) would I need to be water cooled?

no dont go for V8.
Try the TURE 120 or the Prolimatech Megahelms or try Arctic Cooling freezer pro.
And if you are not on a budget then the NOCTUA NH-D14

if you dont mind me asking, why those over the V8? do they cool better? Better price (i can get the V8 from Ebay for $30)? or just brand loyalty or personal preference?
I am just trying to make an informed decision, instead of just taking peoples word for it. nothing personal mihir.

was looking onto coolers on newegg. What is your suggestion for a good cooler?

I was looking into Water Cooling for the GPU, maybe the CPU, but my real only reason is to get the GPU down to a single slot wide, so that I can use the sockets (PCI and PCIe) that happen to be located between the PCIe 2.0 x16 slots. Is this a good idea, or do you know any good cards that are 1 slot wide to begin?

Water cooling is quite expensive, proper water cooling anyway. A good cooler would be the CoolerMaster V6GT, it's newer than the V8 and cools better.

I really dont want to water cool the CPU. If I did, it would only be the GPU, as I have found its quite hard to get a good single slot (small cooler) GPU w/o going water for it.

I had noticed that V6GT. Is it stable and fast (for a lack of a better word in my mind) enough to run 4+ ghz on a 555?
