5850 problem?

Well i'v been scouting google looking for problems to relate to why my cod mw2 goes into slow motion during missions and only when i host games. my friend said people has been having problems with the 5000 series with cod mw2. could anyone verify it or has a solution? i'v reinstalled the drier just wondering if anyone else has a new suggestion

Tried using Catalyst 10.2? It was released on the 17th so you might not have it.

I personally havn't played Mod Warefare 2 yet on my 5850, but for all the graphics intensive games I havnt had one jitter, slow down or whatever may happen. It's been great.

But I did read on ATI's site that they fixed a handful of things with the new updates which linkin mentioned. So check those out and you should be g2g :good:

Also i have the 5870 and i never had a single problem with CoD MD2. Try updating like the other guys said.

edit: maybe i have 10.2 installed i'ma try reinstalling

Well i updated it and now the ati cata doesn't open O.O gotta try reinstalling

Roll back your drivers.

its all good i always system restore before installing or updating anything

edit: i meant create a system restore point

what you need to do:

1) Download new drivers.
2) run the setup. Select UNINSTALL
3)reboot after uninstalling.
4)run setup again, this time click install, do express.

that works better than nuking the drivers with driver cleaner.

yea i just kept installing over each other but few hours ago i decided to uninstall then reinstall.

now theres slow motion + lag freeze + normal its like being inside a bell and ringing it x.x

alright a lil update, i just reinstalled again some reason i got a setup.exe debug screen come up and only firefox and the ati installer was running, but the ati cat was still installing (weird), anyways when i go to register my product it only sures up to 4xxx series no 5xxx series which i'm wondering is prob the issue (not sure) even when i select radeon, theres no XFX brand to select as well x.x could my Graphics driver be a 4xxx series? or am i just paranoid o.o
