5970 is out on HIS

Well, I was just about to order 2 5750 to run in crossfire next weekend after 2 pay checks from now, mostly because I could not get 1 5850(for the same price) due to stocking, but now 5850s are in stock....maybe in 2 weeks those will come down in price, and after being able to afford a second they will have dropped again. But regardless I'm definitely getting a 5850 instead of a 5750. Just wish Asus 5850 would pop back up, can't find them anywhere(anyone got any details about that topic?). My sys. is predominately Asus, and I'm kinda OCD about that. Anyhow 2gb vs. 1gb.... Man that's gotta be insane, maybe next year I'll get a 5970.

I'm still happy with my 4870 X2 :)

Ditto, I've been running my with an aftermarket cooler and this thing rocks. There is not a game I can't play that I'm aware of on high setting with a 22" monitor....

The card is proving to be awesome on review sites, although sometimes the 5870 in CrossFire will beat it, but that's understandable.

Looking at AnandTech's review on the software to change the voltages and the amazing ability to overclock this card is really incredible. And the fact the cooling already accomadates this is even better.

I'd also recommend a 750W+ power supply to run this thing. Man, just imagine them in quad CF...

They won't run in Quad CF (CrossfireX) ;)

They are ran by Internal Crossfire already on the PCB, meaning you Can only do CF with them, which would theoretically be Quad Crossfire, but with just 2 cards. :)

That's what I meant :P

Two physical cards but it's actually 4 of them. Must be helluva powerful!

Increase the gaming performance up to 180% with ATI CrossFireXTM Technology in dual-mode with quad GPU support

never mind the power it has and uses, have you seen the size of it,13.5":eek: over a foot of Graphics card, you'd need one hell of a case to fit that and have enough cooling and be able to fit everything else you need in there and keep decent cable management

I saw a video and man that thing is just huge you could kill someone with that just by dropping it on them xD

Lol, Bootup you can fit that in easily. Has anyone found reviews and benchmarks on the card?

Nice cable management and push/pull fan system.

i just saw this earlyer today. i still havent got a gpu for my new computer and i was gona get a 5870 but then i saw the 5970 and my jaw hit the floor. im just concerned if it would fit in my case (CM HAF 922) i have a freind that has a cousin that works at ATI said he could get me a 5870 for around $200 and the 5970 for about $400 :D

If you can get it for $400 don't even hesitate! Gosh buy two even.!

If it fits comfortably inside a 932 then I'm pretty sure it'll squeeze into a 922. But don't hold be too that! :D

ive been looking around every where for info on it and i cant get a specific length, ive heard 12 in to over 14 in i measured my case and theres 13.5 inches of space. but i could easily do something with the hard drive slots.
