I am currently running my PC with a 32 bit Pentium 4 3.0ghz with windows 32 SP 2, but it is bottlenecking my geforce 8800gts 320mb OCed. I want to upgrade to a E6600 but I'm not shore if it is necessary to buy windows 64 because I want to spend the less amount of money. And if I do stick with my 32 bit windows version will it limit the CPU. I just want to know if the 64 bit CPU needs windows 64bit to function for all the money it is worth, Thankz.
