64 bit laptop?

I'm looking at picking up a 13" laptop for typing and stuff at school, and the one i'm looking at has a 64 bit processor.

Does anyone run linux on their laptop?

I'd love to run linux 64 bit on the laptop, just for grins, and was wondering if anyone else has done this?

Does linux have very good compatability with laptop components?

From what i've heard, the main problems with linux on laptops is the inability to find correct sound and video drivers, and some integrated wireless adapters. But it should still function.
