64-Bit OS wont load on my Comp

Hi purchased Vista 64-Bit and when i went to load it it states that my processor is not compatible. I checked my processor model number (AMD ATHLON AXDA2600DKV4D) and I believe that its 64 bit too. Whats my problem?

There's your problem. Go back and get a refund, and buy a 32-bit version.

It depends whether he bought an OEM or Retail copy. OEM only comes in 32-bit or 64-bit, not both, unfortunately.
