64 bit question

Intel has two flavors of 64 bit processors already on the market. Itanium and some of the Xeon's are both 64 bit. Neither of them are in the main stream yet as far as home users but I would expect that to change. There is already a 64 bit chipset to enable the new pentiums to process 64 bit aplications but that doesn't really look too promising.

when are intel going to design a 64 bit cpu like amd have there athlon64
Well roughly back in 1999 Intel released the Itanium :) As for consumer 64bit support ... prollt 2005 Q2 ... you should be set regardless with a A64-3500 though :)
