64bit os or 32bit.

I read that 32bit os can only read about 3.5 gb total ram, including video card ram and system ram. So my video card that I ordered has 2gb ram and then I ordered 3gb of system ram so does that mean that it will only read a total of 3.5 ram. Or is this Issue only with the system ram. So should I go ahead and install a 64bit os because it has an unlimited ram total?

Your system will only see 2GB of RAM if not 1.7~1.9GB. Definitely order the 64-bit version with a 2GB Video card.
 
First, you will see more then 1.7-1.9GB of RAM. Generally people see between 3-3.5GB if they have 4GB installed on a Windows 32-bit OS. For Vista x64, you can have up to 128GB of RAM (except for Home versions, which only support around 16GB I believe).
 
So because my video card has 2gb of ram. The 32bit os will read less system ram?

Will all my 32bit games and programs work on a 64bit os?
 
your OS will see all of your ram on your videocard without issues.
pretty much all 32bit apps work on 64 bit, there are some minor issues with certain apps, but, generally it's fine.
the 32bit will read to a maximum of like 3.5gb, maybe down to 3gb. your video card will not affect this figure at all.
 
So I will be perfectly fine then because I only ordered 3gb of ram, because I only have 32bit xp pro. Then I read that 32bit os will only read about 3.5 total ram including video. but you guys are saying that I will be fine and it will read all my system and video ram?
