So I want more than 4GB of RAM support (currently on 32bit XP Pro SP3), and I'm not sure if I want to go with 64bit XP or to 'upgrade' to Vista.
With 64bit XP, the fear is about finding drivers and having games/software work properly (I do quite a bit of gaming on my system)
And with Vista, the fear is its bloatedness, its DRM crap, and from what my friends tell me: "its pretty much crap." They've gone back to XP Pro.
So is Vista as bad as everyone say it is? And how much trouble would it be to get 64bit XP up and running?
My system specs:
Thermaltake VA8000
Gigabyte GA-MA770-DS3
Brisbane 5000+ Dual Core 2.6GHZ
EVGA GeForce GTX 260
4x1GB G.SKILL DDR2 800
PCP&C S75QB 750W
Hanns.G Hi-221DPB 22" LCD
Windows XP Pro SP3
