6600 vs 6400 Core 2 duo

sup everyone. Im in the process of ordering a new computer from ibuypower. I pretty much have everything picked out, but im having trouble deciding on a processor. Is the C2D 6600 worth 100$ from the 6400? I know the 6600 has the 4mb cache vs 2mb, but will I utilizie it? I entend to use this computer for some minimal gaming; the primary use will be music production and graphic design/illustration. Thanks in advance Brandon

I too am wondering this I mean will the 4m cache really have a huge effect on everything you do or is it only minor

well only a little difference but how much of a diffrence do you think you would see in burning movies with my old computer it took my like 2 hours to encode and burn a dvd how long do you think it would take these cpus

You can choose between different benchmarks.
You will find audio and video encoding there.
There is a little difference between them.
If you think the difference is not too little, then go for it.
