6600gt 256mb vs x800gt 256mb

yup, i think the 6600 gt might be better. tricky ati lol. using gt as a downgrade, realy could fool many people

Well

X800GT: 8 Pixel Pipes, 6 Vertex Pipes, 256Bit GDDR-GDDR3, 128-256MB, 475/980 PCI-E

6600GT: 8 Pixel Pipes, 3 Vertex Pipes, 128Bit GDDR3, 128-256MB, 500/1000 AGP/PCI-E

ATI would deliver the best overall performance here, the difference is however not immense.

Is the worse overall performer of the two yes. ;)

x800 ;) because.. with nvidia cards, GT means a better version as the normal one.. but At uses gt as a downgraded card name.
(so you could it compare to a nvidia LE card :) )

as i said.. im not so shure :P but shouldnt the 3.0 shader tech give the 6600GT the cutting edge?

With Pixel Shader 3, the 6600GT will be able to support games with PS 3, and the X800 won't. Pretty much what you'll get from PS 3 is better effects such as soft shadows and bump mapping.

Ok Which card is better out of the HIS Excalibur ATI Radeon X800 ICEQII TURBO 256MB DDR3 and the Sapphire x800gt 256mb DDR3?

The x800gt has 8 pixel pipelines whereas the HIS X800 has 12. The memory is clocked 70mhz slower on the HIS though.

HIS Excalibur ATI Radeon X800 ICEQII TURBO

- Powered by ATI Radeon X800 VPU - 398MHz (Turbo)
- 256MB-256bit quad-channel GDDR3 memory - 910MHz (Turbo)
- 12 parallel pixel pipelines
- 6 vertex shader process engines
- Crossfire Compatible
- 2yrs Manufacturer Warranty

Sapphire ATI Radeon X800 GT 256MB GDDR3

- 475MHz GPU Clock Speed
- 256MB 980MHz GDDR3 memory accelerates the latest cutting edge 3D applications
- 256-bit quad-channel GDDR3 memory interface
- Eight pixel pipelines
- Six programmable vertex shader pipelines
- 48 hour RMA turn-around time for faulty Sapphire product sent back to OcUK!
