6790

The 67xx series is the new gen 57xx cards. The price is also excellent considering they are next gen from them. I like that they use a better cooler than on some of the 68xx and 69xx series. One thing that confuses me is their naming schemes. If 67xx > 57xx, and 68xx > 58xx, it makes me wonder where the 69xx series fits into. Surely there can't be two series to replace one. Maybe they originally intended the 67xx series to replace the 56xx but it just ended up falling in place with the 57xx.

6990 = 5970
69** = 58**
68** = 57**
So the HD6700 series replaces the HD5600 series

Basically AMD is releasing the 6790 to kill the GTX550, not really to replace anything. But it will make the 5700 series kinda pointless.
