6800GS or 7600GT

I have a 6800GS, it plays everything I have thrown at it so far all at 1280 x 1024 on max settings:D , its a great card and worth the money, I payed £170 for mine which is loads more than newegg sell it for:eek:!
 
Here is a nice comparasion between the 7600GT and the 6800GS. Notice the 7600GT has a higher core clock and memory clock than the 6800GS, but it only has 128-bit memory, so the Memory bandwith speed is considerably lower than the 6800GS, which can degrade performance. If this was up to me, the 6800GS probably would be my choice.

If i were you I'dd get a better PSU if you want to get the 7600GT, even for the 6800GS just to be safe.

i will probably get a new powersupply a little later on. i am going to try it with the dell powersupply. it should work for now. but i am leaning towards the 6800GS but i still dont know if the 7600GT is better can someone tell me.
 
i think i might go with the 7600gt just cause it is newer and i think a bit better the 7600gt is supposed to be the new budget awesom card now since the 6800gt
 
i still cant decide which to get. will the 128 bit difference on the card make a noticble difference in gaming or will it be better then the 6800GS cause it has higher everything except the memory bandwith.
 
they have very similar scores in 3dmark, 03 - around 13 000, 05 - around 6000, my choice would be 6800gs cuz of the 256-bit memory
 
i would like to see some facts which one is better, im sure that ckfordy is browsing alot to gather as many informations he can get so basicly this what we post is kinda useless

post some links where we can see tests which one is a better buy
 
wait, thats in SLI, who said that he's going to buy 2 cards? awww

EDIT: u know that he's not going to buy a card based on 1 test, bring some more (it raises your post count) lol

i am doing alot of research to see which one is the best and i still cant decide which one is the best. but i would like to some facts to and see which one is the best.
