is an antec true power 430w. psu enough to run a nvidia 6800gt video card with no worry? i read somewhere you need 480w. if i get the card i want to know if i have to change psu

Just the card itself alone wouldn't draw a basic system down with the 430w. I know that from running 2 hard drives along with two cd writers and a dvd burner with 2gb of performance memory. If you plan on stepping up the performance level with OCing and lowering memory timings as well as stepping up the voltages for those and the cpu then you are going to need a boost in the output to see stability. At that point you would be even better off with an Antec True Power 550w model supply to have just a little extra available.

Antec is good brand and you should be not worried at all! 6800GT can be satisfied with 350W PSU.. So your 430W is more that enough...
