Hey guys,

Just a quick question. I am looking for a mobo for my new build, and was just wondering if spending the extra 50$ is worth it to upgrade to the 780i from the $200 680i. Here are the two I am deciding on 680i ( ttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188013 ) or the 780i ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188024 ). I dont really know much about motherboards, but when comparing the spec's on newegg they look similar. Also I probably wouldnt be doing much OC'ing. And I would be using a Q6600 for a processor.

Thanks,

680i, provided you only want to run 2way sli, or 65nm+ processors(i believe that a majority can only handle the 65nm+ processors)

go for the 780i. I have it and its performance is really good. You could do 3-way SLI on it. It has 2GB Lan connection. 10 usb connections and 2 firewire
