6850 Problems?

I reinstalled the drivers for my graphics card, because Fable 3 was having issues, and ever since, AMD Overdrive, Catalyst Control Center and GPU-Z have all been showing it as 300mhz Core clock and 300mhz Memory clock.

I've use Catalyst to try to set the values at default, but they just stay at 300mhz. Is something wrong with my card? or is it just a new feature XD where it drops it speed to save power? XD

If you're saying with overdrive enable, you've set the clock to say 775 (the default) but in the "current values" window it shows 250-300?

Perfectly normal when there is no workload.

Load up GPU-Z. Switch GPU-Z over to the graphs tab, and you should see "clock speed" or something. Click "enable logging" and then load up a game and play for about 10 minutes (with GPU-Z running in the background). When out of the game look at the logs.

The logs should show that when you have a load (such as a game) the clock will jump up to the preset 775. A lot of new CPU's do this "lower the clock to save power" bit as well.

If your clock stays at 300 the entire time through the game, you might have something wrong. (Or the game wasn't that graphics intensive.) >.>

Yeah I worked it all out about 3 minutes after posting this XD. I flashed the black edition bios too :) It's running a bit better :)
