70 degrees?

How do I cool my processor better. I just got the computer today and I installed SensorsView and it said that my CPU was running at 70 degrees celcius and I know that is way too much. Ummm how can I fix this? I'm not sure if the heatsink or everything is installed properly as I didn't install it. The specs are in my signature if you need them.

You can always get a new cooling hantsink/fan. Just make sure you apply the termal paste properly. If you decide just to replace termal paste, use rubing alchool to remove current paste, and apply better thermal paste.

EDIT: in that case, it's just the program. You should check with a different program. Like SpeedFan.

check the cds with ur mobo u will find EasyTune if it's a giga-byte for example ...
install it and it will give u accurate results .... it's used for overclocking as well

Okay I will see what came with the mobo as it is a Giga-byte brand.

I tried Speed Fan too, and it also said the same thing. So I am not sure what to do. But BIOS would be the most accurate thought right?

If it is wrong then, there are just a few simple rules to follow

1. Get a better Heatsink and fan and dab a little artic silver 5 on there

2. Get a nice 120 mm fan for intake (infront) and exaust (inback)

3. Also clean up any wire messes that you have for better air flow.
