I can get this shipped for $731, is this good for a budget gaming computer? I want to be able to play the newer games maxed out if possible :D ... Plus if I ever want to I can just buy another 9800GTX+ and run them SLI ? Comments, suggestions?

Also this is my first build ever, am I forgetting ANYTHING? Will I need heatsink for the CPU, or cables, or anything at all? I'm located in Korea so it's best to order now than wait 2 weeks for shipping =(

you are forgetting a power supply, and i would recommend a better heat sink, the stock ones that come with a cpu are crap.

OS?

Heatsink included with CPU. you may need thermal compound.
cable should included in mobo.

However, I personally would go for AMD set-up instead...

I'd go for AMD also. Better bang for your buck. All of my builds... so far... 2 but, I'm in the process of building another one. AMD all the way. lol

Looks pretty good however I don't see a power supply

The antec nine hundred is the one that is a combo with a 650W earthwatts power supply.

Faster, Bigger, more cache, and $5 cheaper(on sale right now):

You are much better off with an AMD system right now, as the Core 2 line will not be upgradeable to newer cpu's as socket 775 is end of life:

Also I picked up that AMD Phenom 3 core + mobo + cheaper hdd... Thanks for the tips! Someone told me I should probably stick to Geforce as most games are actually geared twords geforce, where as ATI/Raideon might have issues with them?
Nvidia fanboys and Ati fanboys both claim that a certain brand is better for gaming(Although i have an nvidia avatar, im neutral to chipset), it just isnt true. Right now, the HD4890 from Ati is on par with the GTX275 from nvidia, and in some cases close to the GTX285, while being quite a bit cheaper. Plus the 790X Chipset is crossfire compatible;)

Ok, I'm looking at the Gigabyte GA-MA790X mobo, and ATI 4870 512MB 256-bit GDDR5 GPU, and apparently the GPU takes up 2 PCI-E slots, and the mobo only has 2...

1 x PCI Express x16 slots, running at x16 (PCIEX16_1)
1 x PCI Express x16 slots, running at x8 (PCIEX8_1)

Also does the second slot only running at x8 a big downfall? Should I get a different mobo with 2 pci-e slots running at x16, or does it not matter? Should I get a diff GPU that only takes 1 pic-e slot, so that way I can run 2 of them? Also I'm assuming "crossfire" means the same as "sli" just different terms from different brands? One of the reviews of the ATI card said the Geforce 9800GT was getting better FPS than the ATI 4870

"I upgraded to this card from my 9800GT and it's getting lower FPS than my 9800. 10-15FPS lower.

Temps are fine, tried all different drivers, uninstalled Nvidia drivers. "

Is he just a random fluke? Thanks ahead for all the advice!!

Rule #1- Never trust newegg reviews.

The 4870 only uses one pci-e slot, but has a dual slot cooler(only uses one connector). To get a board that does x16 x16 crossfire you would pay around $150 or so, and x8 right now isnt going to limit any of the current cards if you were to go crossfire(The ATi version of SLI).

Ok, thanks alot, I think I will buy the rig you suggested, one last question, will the Phenom II 3 core chip and mobo u suggested, will I be able to unlock the 4th core?

Probably not, newer Phenom II X3's usually have a defective 4th core which is why they are sold as X3's. When the X3's first came out, they were just selling Phenom II X4's with one core disabled because of the demand for the tri cores, in all likelyhood it wont unlock.

Reviews say it fits a 9800gtx fits, so a 4870 should fit, although i would spend the extra for a coolermaster case as it is higher quality and has better airflow.
