700MB limit on burning DVDs?

I'm trying to burn a DVD on Nero. One that you can play on DVD Players. I open it, add files, and it says that there's too much files. I look at it and there's a 700MB limit. Isn't it supposed to be a 4.7GB limit? How do I extend it?

Program: Nero OEM Suite 6
DVD Burner: Sony DVD RW DW-Q28A

you need to make sure youre running a version of nero that allows you to burn DvD's. you cant Choose VCD or Data CD as it thinks the dvd is only a cd, therefore giving you a limit of 700mb....

On Nero it has an option on the top that lets you select CD or DVD. If it's on CD mode, it will only allow you to burn up to 700MB because it thinks it's a CD you're trying to burn.

This is true. I can't burn VCDs on DVDs. Can anyone tell me a program that can burn DVD Video?

i have nero 6 and have no problem at all, as said before it sounds like you've selected the drive as CD, the option is there to select the same drive in DVD format
