7600GT overheating?

Hello everyone! Alright, so lately my computer has been running VERY loud...I know its from a fan or something. I poked my head inside my computer case when it was running and realized that the most noise was coming from my video card, which is an Nvidia GeForce 7600GT.

I believe what is causing this is that the card is overheating, and the fan is spinning really fast to try and cool it down. The card is at 63 degrees Celsius (145 F) when there is NO programs running. I'm guessing that is too high. Is there something wrong with my cooling on the card? I've had this card for over a year and just lately its been spinning really loud and fast.

Thanks!

Its high but the card can handle it. The older cards run hotter. My 8600gt xxx runs at about 40c on idle and gets to about 53c on full load.

The fan's bearing might be failing. You'll probably want to pick up an aftermarket cooler. Check out the Arctic Cooling Accelero 2.

Okay, its just as soon as I try and run ANY type of program, whether it be a game or word document, the fan starts spinning VERY loudly. I don't lose any performance, my computer still runs fine. But it is SOO loud that I'm just afraid to let it run anymore because it does not sound healthy.

Can someone point out a link or something of where I can find some good aftermarket cooling? I've never researched any or used any so I don't know anything about it

Thanks

Alright thanks. Yeah I think I'll just purchase a new fan/cooling device for my video card. Any other recommendations for a 7600GT?
