7750 GPU

I threw an old 7750 gpu into a friends PC, just to give him a dedicated card to use in this backup machine.

The problem is that the fans on it seem to be on all the time and at warp speed, thus making quite the vortex of wind type noise in the living room.

Is there any software with AMD gpus that can keep it quiet by killing the fan rpms? I dont know much about AMD cards.

There's a fan control in the driver set, if you wanted to reshape the automatic fan profile you should be able to do so in Afterburner

I've seen a few cards that go 100% if the fan is failing.

Afterburner eh..I thought I remember a name like that.. I'll give it a go and see if we can quiet this car down.

It a scrap card really, if it dies..oh well.

SWEET!! The card had its fans running at 80% dropped it to 25% and problem solved!!

Just make sure it's not melting.

Yeah, its definitely his backup machine, his 5 year old mainly uses it.. certainly not a heavy use, gaming machine
