7800gt, 'video multitasking?'

xp pro, 3700+ amd, 2 gb ram, and with my 9800 pro, i could play a game and alt tab and watch a video at the same time. Now, if i have a game open, and i open a video, its just transparent to the desktop. any ideas?

why on earth would you want to do that?
bear in mind most games dont like being alt-tabbed to other programs in the background and will often crash
