7900 GT prices

I read in many places that this card was intended to be 250 dollars. Right now it's in the 300 dollar area. Do you guys know if and when the price will drop to the 250 dollars? Also how long do you guys think this card will be until the 8 series?

Im not quite sure when this card will fall into the $250 dollar price range but what I do know is that the 8 series card (G80 ) whould be with us around November IIRC:)
 
it might fall within the 250 range when the 8 series come out. IMO, its really not worth waiting for cards to fall in prices, unless its when it just comes out and the price is ridiculous.

June/July, I thought, but I could be wrong.

I'm reasonably sure that nVidia plans to release them first. That way, when Vista does come out there will be hardware available to take advantage of DX10.
