7900GS problems

Hey guys i'm just wondering if you would know whats going with my graffics card.
When I play most new games... Battlefield 2, Oblivion, Command And Conquer 3 and so on the game always locks up. The lock up usally lasts for about 10-20secs. The only thing that I think causes this problem is my new graffics card, my new Palit 7900GS. Since it never used to do it on my old 6200SE.

The card is overclocked. so...the Stock clock frequencys are
Core Clock Frequency is
450
Memory Clock Frequency is
660

Now the overclocked frequencys are
Core Clock Frequency is
630
Memory Clock Frequency is
800

Haha just alittle bit of an increase aye? I also used coolbits software to overclock it.

My system specs are
P4 3.06Ghz
1GIG of ram
160GB HD
300watt PSU

So yeah, any help will be appreciated.

I assume you've tried putting it back to stock clocks to see if it happens?

I think it's more than likely you are pushing the card too far and it's possibly not getting enough power from your 300watt psu.

Dam, yeah I put them back down and it doesn't seam to freeze anymore. Man I can't wait till i get my new case and PSU ahh the possibilities
