7900gt overclockability?

I'm getting the evga 7900gt co. Since it is the copper heat sinc, is the whole fan different or just the heat sinc? Also, how much does the 7900gt overclock? (mine comes at 500/1500 I believe) Is it a big upgrade from my evga 7800gt co.?
 
yes, thats a fair amount of performance increase. i would sell the 7800gt if you aren't using it, but you probably won't get more than $200.
its probably overclockable to like 600mhz if you're lucky... depending on the stock voltage. they get the 7900GTX which has the same chip (theyre 90nm) to 700mhz, 650mhz stock.
i'd go more for memory o/c though.
google "coolbits" its what i used to o/c my 7800gt (soon 2 be duallies)
 
Well depending on the rest of your systems specs, you should max out the settings with shed loads of fps to spare. And the added fps you get from the o/c will be un-noticeable. But hey, its your card. As said google coolbits. It comes as a .reg so run it, let it add it to the registry then on the desktop, right click > nvidia display > select whatever it says (should be your monitor). Then look for Clock Frequency Settings
