the x1800XT is better, not to mention it has 512MB of memory.

And just to note, the x1900 doesnt have 48 pipelines, it has 48 pixel shaders, there different things.

Is that all you look at? Check the rest of the stats, you'll see that the x1800xt is better in most of them.

3dmark06 is total BS... anyway...

They're pretty neck and neck, the 7900GT does better in texture rich games, while the X1800XT does better in shader rich games. And the X1800XT can run HDR + AA. Then again the 7900GT is cheaper... I'd go with the 7900GT because of the price, but there's no clear winner.

EDIT: Just saw they are the same price, in that case I'd go with the X1800XT. Then again the 7900GT is a great overclocker... lol

most benchmarks are bs... for example, PCMark is bias agaisn't AMD processors... the Pentium Ds score way higher then the X2s... but in reality the X2 shows way more performance...

stats is what counts the most...
 
Cell4Me, i dont know where you got your benchmarks, but there wrong. The x1800XT beats the 7900GT in all 3DMark versions, as well as most games. Here are some real benchmarks:

As i said, the x1800XT 512MB is better :)

And btw, the 7900GT costs around $290, where as the x1800XT 512MB costs atound $300.

All i want is some card to run oblivion with it with solid FPS (30-50) with anti analizing on 2 or off and HDR off

Well that´s just isn´t fare?

You compare 256Mb card to 512Mb card... Take 512Mb 7900GT and compare it to 512Mb X1800XT and try to OC both cards to their max and then say which is better card. I´d say 7900GT 512Mb would go much faster than X1800XT 512Mb..
