I've been wondering this for a while: are you suppose to get all 7mb for download? I just ran 2 speed test that average about 4mb. Is that right? I know my internet was faster when I first got it.

So we aren't suppose to double post but I want people to read this. I have just done 2 things to my computer that is making the internet run much faster. It may work for you, it may not. So for those who haven't done these before, try it:

1. opendns.com, sign up for free and follow the instructions to get on the opendns server. You never have to go back to the site again afterward.

2. Download all modem tweak. You choose what type of internet connection you have and it tweaks the settings on your modem to give you better results.

Like I said since I did both of these less than an hour ago I saw a huge difference, though it might not help you, who knows.

Your ISP could also have congested traffic or it was just a peak time where everyone is on the net.
