@Nevakonaza
You need restricted packages (codecs) to watch DVDs. For that, you have to install the ubuntu-restricted-extras package

@NaughtyMonkey
Which Ubuntu version do you use? You can update to it from an older distro (8.04 or afaik, even 7.10)

Cant wait for ubuntu 8.10:D Gonna throw it on my newer laptop(which is like 2 years old, pentium IV FTW:D) Maybe might stick it on spare idd hdd and use it on this computer to...

yeah im gonna install it on Vmware and play around with it ;)

I'm downloading! :D

About the DVD support... I really don't understand it one bit... it's SOOOOOO simple to install it, but you still have to download the package manually and install it... why didn't they just include it with the base system? Maybe they'll do that in this release. :rolleyes:

Another thing I'm looking forward to is out of the box Wacom tablet support, I don't think it's supported in Ibex though (you can install it manually, but it's tricky and I'm getting tired of doing it.) :P

The worst part is the look!!!!!!! :eek: It's absolutely SICKENING! At least it's customizable... kinda. :P

I hope it's good though... if it's not I might end up running "sudo rm -f" on the entire system. :P

Oh! And did you hear?! They've fixed up the OS installer!!! Party time! It's all better now (seriously... since when is the first thing you fix the looks of the installer?)

I think they really need more time to come out with a new release... six months isn't very much time.
