I don't know if it's been mentioned, but the AMD Phenom II comes in two versions: 125W and 95W. Make sure you check your motherboard website for the watts supported by the motherboard.

The reviews for the 880G Extreme3 aren't bad...?

It's a great board. Not very good at overclocking, but otherwise a very practical choice with good build quality.
