8400GS + DirectX problem

Im have a System running Window Xp Pro and i got this new XFX 8400GS . I cant update to direct 9.0C . When i run directx it will install in seconds and show that its ready to use . BUt when i check its not updated and its on 8.1b

maybe a silly question but have you restarted? other than that, try uninstalling DirectX, restarting, then installing the latest version

i really dont know what happen . I reformat the PC just to install the directX . but it just dont work .

you could have a look on the internet and see if there are any issues with your graphics card and that version of Direct X

Directx9.0c comes out with SP2

Just upgrade to SP2 and you will get DX9.0c
