8600 gt

hi all im after a Geforce 8600 GT but ive just looked on ebay and theres about 20 different 8600 GT, some say 512mb some 256mb and they all look different, can anyone tell me which i should go for or where better to buy one or are they all vertualy the same

and whats the difference between a 512mb card and a 256mb one

+5V & 3.3V combined load 230W
+5V & 3.3V & 12V combined load 422W
Total output is 500W max

the 512mb would be better, but i wouldn't recommend the 8600gt at all, i would say get an 8800gt if your budget allows for it

What is your budget? They have the 9800GT on sale for $100 at newegg.

well would you say the 8600 GT is better than the 7900 GT if so then thats all i need and what make 8600 GT card is the best

and my budget at the moment is about 60 pounds

Just wait till you can afford the 9 series cards. Well worth it. Even go with a 4830.
