8600 GTS and 1024x768 resolution...

Today I got my hands on a Case and an 8600 GTS 256MB for $30 from a friend. I don't have enough money for a new monitor, and I heard from another friend that this card will get 30 FPS on Crysis on Very High at this resolution. Is it true, or not? Either way, I was going to buy the card, so I didn't buy it because of the friend's statement, for the record.

Id say high+no aa/af @ that res, depending on cpu and the clocks of the card. Extra high might be pushing the truth a little though...

Yeah I was figuring I'd probably get 20-25 FPS on Very high.

Obviously it will depend on what CPU you have but this video shows that a P4 paired with a 8600gts runs well.

I will actually have better specs than that.
Well, my CPU will be a 5000+ (Maybe Black Edition).
