Nope, it wouldn't come close to maxing out. My 8800gt plays it at Very high w/ no AA, and it lagged at the very end. It would seriously take two ultras to max it out.
Takes 3 ultras in triple-SLI to produce a decent frame rate at 4x AA, 1920x*** and very high settings...and even then the frame rate isn't that spectacular.
No disrespect... but where's your proof?
You think an:
AMD 6000+X2
2gb of DDR2 800 Corsair XMS2 RAM
8800GT 512mb
Vista Premium
You think this system can run Crysis maxed out at 1024x768? Also claims that this air cooled PC stays at a consistant 23C
And how many FPS is required for Crysis to play smoothly?
Also, a kid I know says his rig plays Crysis flawlessly @ 1600x1000 (I forgot the exact resolution).
Q6700 (Liquid Cooled)
DDR3 @ 1067 or whatever
EVGA 8800 Ultra
Vista Ultimate
It won't be able to play it close to Very High, but without AA and AS.
huh... to which setup?
Guys he's not asking if he can max it out. He's just asking if SLI 8600GTS's will let him run on high instead of medium settings. I seem to remember reading that two 8600GTS's are comparable to a 8800GTX.
