Hi BORG,

I am getting a new laptop. I have seen two different laptops that I am interested in.

1. GQ249EA HP Notebook - Pavilion dv9521ei - Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor T7300 2.00GHz 4 MB cache 800MHz FSB , 2048MB DDR2-667 SO-Dimm Memory (2x1024), 320GB (2 x 160GB) SATA 5400rpm Hard Drive, DVD Super Multi Writer Lightscribe optical drive, 17" WXGA+ Bright View (1440x900 resolution) TFT LCD Display, NVIDIA GeForce 8600M 256MB with 256MB dedicated graphics, 802.11a/b/g Wireless LAN, 56k modem, Bluetooth, Integrated finger print reader, Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition, Microsoft Works, 1-1-0 (One-year standard parts and labour warranty)

2. A200-1KH
Toshiba Satellite A200-1KH Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 (2.0GHz ) Vista Home, 2GB Ram, 300GB HD, 15.4" Screen.
.Toshiba With manufacturer : ATI
type : ATI Mobility™ Radeon® HD2600 supporting HyperMemory™ technology
memory amount : 256 MB dedicated VRAM (up to 1.023 MB total available graphics memory using HyperMemory™ technology with 2 GB system memory)
memory type : DDR Video RAM (resp. DDR Video RAM and DDR system memory combined)
connected bus : 16x PCI Express

Which one? I want to play games. The Hp has a "17" inch but the Toshiba comes with an HD-DVD drive and the Toshiba comes with WLAN draft N.

Does any know if WLAN - Draft N is good for WLAN gaming?

The 8600M is better

And HD2600 has HyperMemory technology which will steal your system RAM

So, it is better to get Nvidia 8600M

Thats what i think also. :)

I was gonna get a basic laptop and a PS3 but with the DX10 stuff I decided to go for a higher spec latop. Cool!

they both have optional to use system ram.

nvidia uses turbo cache
ati uses hyper memory

both are dedicated. you have the option to increase the vram to use shared system ram.
