I am interested in getting an HP a6460t and would be upgrading the card to this 8600gt and I was wondering if I would need to get a bigger power supply. Also i am new to computers and I was wondering how hard it is to add a video card ( i have installed ram before)

It's listed simply as a 300W, without knowing any more I'd take a guess at most likely not. Installing a video card is no harder than memory, same principle as well: stick into the slot.

No, you won't, not unless the one that comes with the HP is particularly bad.

nope you wont need a new power supply. you WOULD need one, but 8600GT's did not require a 6-pin PCI-E power adapter.

the one that compes with the hp says its 300w

thats all-right, 300w is enough to run a 60w card and a 150w computer. nothing to worry about

Also if u take advantage of the new cc discount u can save more and u never have to use card again. I only paid 29.95 for this card and its well worth it.
